She lived here most of her life and went to Floyd College until transferring her credits to the University of Georgia where she received her undergraduate degree. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She stayed there after graduating and completed a year of Master's level classes in Deaf Education before moving to Washington, D.C. There, she attended Gallaudet University, the only university in the world for deaf and hard-of-hearing students. After four years of training, Dr. Baty graduated with her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.). From D.C., she moved to Alabama where she set up an Audiology practice and worked for an Otolaryngologist prior to moving back to Rome to set up a private practice. She attends an annual convention with the American Academy of Audiology to obtain her Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and continually involves herself in new technologies, studies, research, and findings. Member of the SONUS Network Kimberly Shepard Patient Care Coordinator Kimm is our front desk Patient Care Coordinator. She is always friendly and ready to assist our patients daily. She coordinates scheduling appointments and is here to help patients with billing and insurance questions.
